Lesley Elliott Interviews Jaco Van Zyl – Primitive Envy and Entitlement Ideologies

Jaco van Zyl is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with the Psychological Society of Ireland, and is registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa. He completed his undergraduate studies in microbiology, chemistry, psychology and linguistics at the University of South Africa (UNISA), and his postgraduate studies at UNISA and the University of Limpopo. He works integratively from a psychodynamic perspective, gleaning from modalities including Jungian psychology, Ego-state psychology and body-focused therapies. Jaco provides therapy to adolescents, adults and families. He has a special interest in personality pathology and its relationship with mood and anxiety disorders, trauma-spectrum disorders, eating disorders, addiction and sexuality.
