Critical Therapy Antidote

Leslie Elliott Boyce and Jennifer Friend from Solid Ground invited the co-directors of CTA – Christine Sefein Wolk, a former counselor educator, Michael Olan, a doctor of psychology, and Jaco van Zyl, a psychoanalytic psychotherapist – for an in-depth discussion of the activist turn in therapy. All five discussants have been close observers of the recent politicization of the therapy professions. The resulting conversation is deep and wide ranging; it sheds light on the origins of this movement, analyzes the impact of an ideologically captured profession and considers the contributions of new parallel organizations.
