Remember when the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) was a straightforward professional body – staid and conventional but necessary for regulatory purposes? Now that activists are in charge, its purpose has been recast as political/moral re-education.
The latest issue of Therapy Today (the BACP journal) – see cover below – is an example of its decline into a propaganda sheet of little use to the majority of practitioners. Three out of the five featured articles on its June cover uncritically promote gender ideology. CTA will be returning shortly to cast a critical eye over one of these articles in particular. In the meantime, it is hoped that BACP members will making complaints to the editor about the blatant ideological bias in this journal issue.
