“That’s what keeps the sadness and the grief and the depression at bay: by doing something” – Charlotte

Charlotte is a mother whose son fell victim to gender ideology at college. She relates how her adopted son, who had neurodevelopmental challenges and was emotionally immature, became engrossed in online anime and later fell victim to peer grooming. She tells how a college course and a gender clinic facilitated his gender confusion and subsequent hormone treatment. Charlotte relates how she tried to hold her family together while everything seemed to have fallen apart. But also that she recovered from a state of depression and non-survival, and is surviving now. Due to the sensitivity of the subject and the vulnerability of the people involved, we changed some of the names and pictures.

  1. I want to connect with other families who want to fight this gender ideology. I am currently learning about Steven Hassan’s work on cults and creating a plan to work with families (including my own) who want to find strategies to help their adult children leave this destructive cult. Please connect me to families fighting this battle.

  2. Hi Linda

Thank you for making contact. Yes, a few parental networks have been formed. And maybe we can put you in contact with some. Please send me an email at jaco@jvanzylpsych.com. And I’ll get back to you with some details.

    Regards
