It is a well-established fact that the Humanities have become the target of political radicalisation at universities and other training institutions, particularly in the field of mental health. The long march through the institutions has been successful in its ideological capture of the field by identity Marxism, or Critical Social Justice. The universality of this capture suggests intentional orchestration rather than coincidence. The result is that psychotherapy has become a domain where patients are no longer seen as autonomous subjects but as political assets, and their vulnerabilities are exploited as opportunities by activist therapists. The aim of psychology in its current form is to establish a pathocracy in which psychological pathology is harnessed for revolutionary action. As elaborated upon by Polish psychiatrist Andrew Łobachewsky, such systems are the origins of political ponerology, or evil in politics.

In a recent interview, Jana Lunden of Natural Women’s Council Ireland sat down with psychologist Ian Cox to discuss the ideological capture of the therapy field in Ireland. This is a very timely interview, as we have discovered that psychotherapy practice in Ireland has abandoned its healing ethos in favour of destructive, indeed perverse, psychopathological practice. The same concerns are echoed in this interview. Ian discusses how psychology was infiltrated by ideologies that are subversive to our Western culture and even to our judgment of reality itself. He addresses the rageful intolerance of foundational Western values among students and faculty and explains how his own colleagues self-censor due to intimidation, cowardice, or both. In a time of ideological totalitarianism, speaking the truth with boldness rather than timidity is the crucial course of action. Anything subtler than this would only compromise our connection with reality. The full interview can be viewed below:
